Not everyone does delete it. It's that simple, there are a lot of fools out there.

People spam because it works and no one does anything about it.
There is a simple solution:

Everytime you get spam, do a search for the company or stock mentioned. EMAIL them with the spam as an attachment. Mention the subject: Spam with YOUR name used (put name of stock or company in this space)
In the body, offer to help in any criminal or legal action against the spammer and mention that you are forwarding a copy to the proper authorities (do so if you can find them).

If we all do this, a lot of companies are going to be irritated at the bad publicity generated by this, and will do something to stop the spammer involved.

Who's with me?

Let's run some numbers (all purely hypothetical, I have no idea what the actual numbers are).

Let's say it costs someone $10 to send 1,000,000 spam emails. And let's say a person gets paid $1 for every spam mail sent that people click through to purchase something.

So even if only .000001 percent of the recipients of the emails respond to it, that is still 1,000 responses, giving a return of $990 after covering the $10 cost.

So as long as spam email remains profitable, people will continue to send them.

Considering the billions of people in just the USA, if 1 out of 1000 clicks through, that adds up to a huge chunk of change
