The last time I flew I threw up the entire trip. 4 hours. Then nausious for days after. I've tried all the over the counter drugs to no avail. I've heard of the patch for some.

one thing about motion sickness medication is that it does little good if it's taken AFTER symptoms take effect. You need to take it about an hour before you're on the plane. Plus, once you start throwing up, you're throwing up some of the medication you didn't take unless it's been in your system for awhile. You probably already know that though...

As for an injection, i have heard of them, but I was under the assumption it was for severe cases in things like deep sea divers and astronauts...I looked in my medication guide for you and it does show that there are injectable forms for "severely motion sick individuals"- you may want to call you doctor ahead of time- it does sound like you would be one of those people!

The thing i have heard of most being used with the best success if the little wrist bands...they work by using acupressure and a lot of people who don't respond well to the medication are actually helped with the wrist band.

I really hope you find something to help provide you with some relief....four hours is too long to throw up that much, and that's awful. If you hvaen't tried the wrist band, you might want to look into that, and try taking the medication farther in advance.

good luck to you.
