Hi Jody!

My motto is: Anyship, Anytime, Anywhere!

We sailed on the Holiday for our 1st 7 night cruise in '95. We had a great time!

Just realize, that she (and her sisterships) are the smallest in the Carnival fleet. This is not a bad thing, especially for a shorter cruise. You get to know other passengers and crew far easier than on a mega ship. It is more B&B feeling than like a mega resort. I like both for different reasons.

I think the food and service are better on other cruise lines but they are fine on Carnival. Plus I feel the main thing to determine the intanglibles of a cruise is the crew, I have made friends with crew on every ship I have been on (14 cruises so far!) and if upper mgnt are fair and have the respect, crew is happier and more of a family. If not, then it reflects that.

Tho it's not a megaship, it's still 2 1/2 football fields long, 9-10 stories high and the staterooms, at 186 sq ft, are the same size on every CCL ship, new or not.

I was on Cozumel the past Dec. It looks great and has really started to recover from Hurricane Wilma. Got some great jewelry deals and had a nice lunch at my fav restaurant there, Casa Blanca on Plaza del Sol.

Besides, with the rates I am seeing for this cruise, how can you go wrong. Just book it and then enjoy a fun and relaxing Holiday (pun intended).

Take care,

=CD=

When are you going? I could book it for you at no charge. My company does about 15-20% of Carnival's business. Check out this website and click on the Cruises tab and you can check rates and book it there if you like. If you need help feel free to email me.

Have you considered instead just flying to Cozumel and staying there? It is a fabulous little island with so much to do. And you can get great hotel and air packages. They have great scuba and snorkeling, wonderful resorts, bars on the beaches, lots of funky shops, and beautiful scenery. When we were there, we felt sorry for the "boat people", who came in huge mobs, and could only stay three hours. They were afraid to wander off the main street. We brought boxes of our old clothes and donated them to the humane society there. They have regular rummage sales to fund themselves.

Excellent idea. If you are young Carnival is the cruise line to be on. If you are older and more mature, Holland America is the Line to be on.
