After reading a lot of the posts, I have noticed a pattern.
They seem to say nothing but detrimental things about themselves. i.e. "I am this, or I am that, etc", they never seem to say anything good or positive about themselves. I noticed myself falling back on those detrimental feelings and giving up.

I think a lot of this "conditioning" is brought on by not thinking of the positive and holding on to the negative thoughts. Therefor, I am trying positive reinforcement, rather than negative reinforcement. I started off by thinking of all the negative things people say to each other "You are a worthless, lazy, inconsiderate, Loser, etc"

It may not seem like the best start, but all I could think of is Stewart Smally "I am good enough, I am smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me"

We don't often get much positive reinforcement, therefore we reinforce the negative and it turns into a vicous cycle, until it becomes unbearable.

Your thoughts?

i think a lot of our feelings of inadequacy come from us allowing other people's opinions to mean more to us than they should. we should be seeking approval from tohers all the time because we end up stepping oputside of who we jst so people will like us. i think , though it is healthy to have a balance of both worlds, it is more imprtant for us to stay true to ourselves and our goals, and our desires. that way when things don't turn out how we wanted, we don;t beat ourselves up and self destruct. we all have positive and bad traits, but that's what makes us human. as long as we don't slip into an unreversable depression it can be healthy for us to take self inventory and make the adjustments that will help us evolve into better, more well rounded people.

I have been through a lot of negative experiences & try to be positive & influence others to be positive. We need to break the trend.

You are very incisive.

Apparently you have intelligence and can write. It is hard not to notice that you took time in school to learn to spell, if not; you are smart enough to use the "check spelling" feature.

Gosh darn it, people must like you.

(is that enough?)
