as time goes by it gets harder and harder to accomplish peace. as any God fearing person knows these are the ''end times''. Satan is given a longer leash with which to hang himself and so he can do more damage. but no worries, i read the book, we win in the end.

Because the individual person has to transcend his own "set of manners," and "religious beliefs," and "moral code." In any given day, in a large city, you will bump into a Christian, a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Taoist, a Hindu, a Jew, etc. each with their own moral code that is different in their behavioral practices. In each day, you will randomly bump into a "Miss Manners," a "Mother Superior," an authoritarian, a shrinking violet, an altruist, an extremely selfish person, a Narcissist, a Schizophrenic, a "down and out," a "top of the world," a sick person, a well person, an athlete, a couch potato, a person in a rush, a person not in a rush, an overly kind person. Interactions will spark, not always dovetail. Nations are established, nations are struggling, and every shade and phase in between. In the final analysis, individuals may well feel they have given up their moral "salt" if they transcend their code to such a degree, and they are reluctant to do so. Identification with a set of manners and a moral code is strong, and people fear loss of that identification.

satan did not respect god and he was cast out. satan then tempted eve, who tempted adam. they both broke god's commandment and therefor all their decendents were born in sin. with that sin come, evil, pain, hurt, disease, ignorance,etc... it is one of those necessary evils that exist now to prove just how real god is. sad as it is, jesus would not have died if it were possible for us as humans to "do good and not evil". some of us are more susceptible to the good of god, and others are consumed by evil.

It is the nature of this world; it's imperfect; it's what separates us from God; if we were perfect, we would not be able to see God, because we would have no use for him.
