looks, figure, personality, attitude..
they go in order from outside in most of the time.
so, yes we judge most books by its cover although many of use ignore it usually.

Intelligence, beauty, grace, to love us despite our flaws. Stuff like that. Personally, I think the intelligence is a big factor, looking good does not hurt though.
