I have to say the teachings in the Bible are worth knowing- even Mohandas Ghandi said that. More specifically, knowing how to prioritize things in life by importance, regardless of immediate effect on yourself. The rest will fall into place with little or no effort!

I have a feeling you have a strong opinion of this already. Knowledge can help you achieve certain goals. So, you should seek knowledge that will further your goals. Knowledge takes time to acquire, so you have to make sure you are spending your time wisely in pursuit of it. If you are trying to decide how much education to get, you need to decide your career path. Most careers require more "savvy" than knowledge. So, usually experience will serve you better than study.

What you truly are is worth knowing.... even though it's a very tough process to change ones consciousness, the result is the end of suffering.

"nothing" is worth "knowing", feeling is more impotant. love, happiness, sadness, anger. there is no meaning to life. there are lots of things in this world we do not know,or did not know, that we want to figure out,or have, but that doesn't neccesarilly mean that "existance" is something to be figured out,or that can be. just be glad you're here now, and when you're gone, you're gone, that's it.period.

I would say history, I know that is not a long answer but history has paved our future paths and it is always changing. It could be world history etc.
I would try to catch an hour or two of discovery channel too. What is really worth knowing ...is we have yahoo to help us answer the question to the question to the question.

First I think it is worth knowing that Jesus Christ Died to save us from Eternal death, and life goes on even after we die. Second,I think it is really worth knowing your family background, through family trees, DNA test, stories and so on, because if you don't know where you came from you will not know where you or going.

Well, we don't have to know everything, but there's plenty of stuff we should know and focus on. I'm glad people on here are asking a lot of questions about God, at least they are searching. Searching is the first step to finding.
Trivia isn't worth knowing unless you get on Jeopardy.
