I know im young but i want to be prepared. i really want to be a teacher.

Not It Tech, they don't offer the appropriate classes to get your certifications. Basically any acredidted college that you can get your BA will do. I wouldn't go to a school that costs too much as teachers don't make that much anyway. Plus, teaching is not a job that is all that hard to get, I highly doubt they will be comparing resume's and see that one applicant went to a better college than the other. Almost ever district is hard out for teachers.

I would just get you BA in english or something, then get your credentials.

I understand what you're going through. I'm also an aspiring teacher in a college search. Get some college guides from your public library that list the best schools by major. I've been looking at colleges near me like St. Cloud State University and Bethel University (Religious school). Both have top notch education majors.

I don't know how old you are, but you should talk to your counselor at school. It will also depend on what you want to teach, elementary or secondary. Most state schools have education programs but all are not equal. In Texas, Stephen F Austin has a top notch program as well as A&M. Good luck on your search.

where in the US? i live in jersey..... rutgers university has a great grad school of education. caldwell college has a fantastic certification program. i have heard montclair, william paterson, and kean have great education programs too. all of them are state schools except for caldwell, which is private.
