I'm not a big Oprah fan/advocate but it's helpful to some people to get this kind of message out. Sorry if you don't like it but if that's the case, maybe you really need to check it out & quit being so negative!

When I first saw this I said.... "that's a secret? duh? why didn't I think of this?" I sure hope they can help that poor girl with her money problems. As Oprah sits there for about $5,000,000/minute.

I saw the movie The Secret www.thesecret.tv few monhs ago, and the wife is reading the book...

I hope this is all we need to make this place better for others, maybe we can get more peace out of this too. Because the laws of attraction is almost like an instinct.

What about "The Secret" the Law of attraction, is this NEW to YOU?

It is the chance to have complete happiness and everything you EVER wanted it life. It deals with the law of attraction (essentially that we are magnets with the universe). All of the negative comments above are doing just that, attracting more negativity to themselves. It is proven by quatum physics and it makes total sense. You can view it online for free, if you want more information! Also please feel free to email me at shelbymustang@hotmail.com and I would LOVE to chat and provide answers for you!~

A little praise for the secret from my own personal experiences...The first night i watched it, i immediately began my gratitude list and asked for old friends to contact me so we could reconnect...by 10 am the next morning i had phone calls, voicemails and messages from 2 friends i hadn't heard from in months...those who haven't seen the secret think it coincidence but because i know it, i know it's not. i was also having a little frustration with money and asked for a check to get me back on track.....within 2 weeks, i had a $250 from our "family friend" who i rarely see, and was for my graduation....which was 4.5 months ago! anyways i believe in the secret and wish you all the best!

As far as the negative comments, Oprah is an amazing woman and you are selfish and jealous. She has spent MILLIONS creating a school for girls in africa and doing more about the crisis than our own government is! either way it is NOT oprah's responibilty to spend her money the right way...she just does! she also inspires millions of others to reach inside themselves and do things for others they never imagined possible....but then again if all you're thinking of is negative than that is essentially all you are attracting :)

I didn't see oprah but i know alot about The Secret having run my life by it now for almost 2 years. I can say straight away to remove any doubt that the secret works. Before i knew about it i was running a small business, unsuccesfull as it was hardly making ends meet, hadn't had a serious relationship with another women for a long time and was always feeling tired and depressed. After using the secret i am now earning in excess of AU$200,000 a year and i'm dating the most beautiful women i have ever seen, waking up everymorning motivated and feeling energised. so you tell me...

I have just seen the secret, because my mom, is so into it.

The way I see it, is that, it is as simple as thinking positively and visualizing what you want.

DUH!!! No kidding...

I believe in the theory that we are all energy that interacts with one another, and we attract what we give off.
OK, great!

But they never once mention the idea of practical thought. Practical thought is a necessity in protecting yourself from harm.

You cant go around thinking pos and visualizing what you want, no matter how it gets you there.
You have to protect yourself and think that you cant think pos and walk across a busy street, and not expect to get run over.

You have to take the necessary and safe steps in addition to thinking pos.

But the way they went about making this movie, was a bit dramatic, and silly.

Those people are making alot of money pushing the "think positive" idea.

Do I believe in the concept? Absolutely? But as I mentioned it does not discuss practical thought. It also pushes success in terms of monetary and material success... it discusses very little on how it can improve relationships.
It seems more geared to convince people that it will make them successful and wealthy.
Thats just not right.

all i seen from your link was "how to get rich" schemes. Figures this would come from Oprah. Afterall, this coming from someone who cares nothing about marriage or having a child of her own and caters to that of the rich. Occassionally she throws out free cars to her audience, which they have to pay taxes on, and she will buy someone a restaurant, or she might donate a million every now and again to get herself in the news, but compared to how much money she makes........umm do you realize she is worth like a billion dollars? Yes, i said A BILLION dollars. This money and all the things she throws out to people would be like us giving the salvation our left over coins after we come out of a store. Or donating a 100 dollars, which is like omg to me, to the red cross.

Oprah is pathetic and anyone who "buys" into anything she promotes is just as narrow minded and sick as she is.
