I used Spybot but it frrexes up whenit get to "coolsearch"

go to google and type in cwshredder this is a handy wee tool designed specifically to remove the wwwcoolsearch problem

run this first in safe mode:

Ad Aware and Spybot will get the rest gone if you boot in safe mode first,
boot with the option of network support; so you can update the definitions in safe mode as well if they have disabled your internet.
if they continue to freeze spybot , reinstall spybot/adaware whilst in safe mode to fix corruption,
you can also try lspfix, if removing these breaks your internet.

Spybot will remove it but you have to boot into Safe Mode.

(1) Download hijackthis
(2) Post the hijackthis log on the hijackthis forum for the hijackthis experts to take a look
3) Install and use firefox while browsing
Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
