I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, and my radiator is leaking coolant from the top of the radiator, but I cant seem to find the leak. I smell coolant after I stop the car, and recently in the extreme cold weather after driving 30 miles at 60mph, my radiator was steaming (like an overheat) but very lightly.. I know that this must be a leak, but I am wondering how bad and what I can do about it. The temperature gauge in my jeep is also showing normal temperature when this is happening..

It wouldn't hurt to try a little Bar's stop leak that you add to the radiator coolant to seal small leaks. Maybe a cold engine pressure test would reveal the source of the leak, possibly at a seam or small crack in the top of the radiator. There are good two part epoxy ribbon products that you apply to the leak which might hold up under the pressure. You might replace the radiator cap as a precaution in case excessive pressure is building up.

im sure it has a very tiny hole on top of your radiator w/c is not physically visible. also, pls check the radiator cap, rubber gasket might be worn out too already. for the mean time, pls add more water to your reservoir until u had it repaired. surely u can see moisture bec water + hot surface will result to moisture. though the smell of the coolant is quite toxic, pls have it service asap.

you have a small hole in your radiator, take it out and take it to a radiator shop and get it fixed or buy a new radiator.
