I was wondering if anyone has tasted or cooked a dog or a cat or any other house animals? SInce there is a hunger crisis worldwide and there's TONS of cats and dogs running around rampant and in dog pounds. Shouldn't we send these critters to feed the less fortunate? Instead of euthinizing them?

Not tried cat or dog, but I have eaten rat (not knowing what it was I hasten to add). It actually tasted OK, but the thought of it made me puke when I was told what it was.

I have tasted rabbit and know people who ate cat or dog when on holiday it is sad BUT think of this - in North America THOUSANDS of kittens and pups are euthanized daily becuase there are not enough homes for them - other countries where spaying and neutering isnt an option have bigger problems with animal population and since the human population is so huge (lack of farm land for raising cattle) they may as well eat the cats and dogs rather than just dump them in the landfills like we do here.... its a fact that unless we get the human population under control here its only a matter of time before we too are forced to eat cats and dogs because of city growth there will be no room to raise large numbers of cattle like now... probably within 50 years...

NO, I have never and will never taste a grilled dog or cat or any other household animal. It's a good question why we don't eat them, but considering that people think of them more as pets and friends rather than their next meal, we don't eat them.

well i had a hot dog the other day...
never had catfish though.
but my neightbor
who's vietnamese
has a bumper sticker that says
"i love cats"
and then really small it says
"they taste just like chicken"
hah.
oh, and sending them to other countries is wrong.
they didnt deserve to be eaten.
not killed either.
but if there was a way to get rid of all domestic cats,
i would send them to iraq.
and let those iraqis (or however you spell it) have them!
...stupid cats...

I haven't had chinese lately. I guess they are not a dietary restriction for some nations. I won't have any of it.
