My mp3 player isn't working i tried to plug it in to the computer to charge and swiching its battery but it wont turn on the screen lights up and then shuts off!!! It's a coby mp3 player but can"t get it to turn on, some body tell me what to do??!!??

It does not take a lithium battery just regular triple a's and i dont have a wall plug it charges through the computer!!

this is hard to diagnose, because iv never had this exact player. But if it takes batteries I would try a couple different pairs, and make sure they are brand new or fully charged if they are rechargeable.

If it has a built in battery then try charging it for a couple hours. If it charges through a usb cable, use a plug that plugs into a wall outlet not from your computer because some usb ports don't use that capability. Try turning it on while its pluged in, and after it charges try it while its not pluged in. I have an Iriver that wont turn on while its plugged in.

I'm pretty sure you have to go change the battery now because the battery might not be a rechargable battery.Lithium and and ion batteries aren't rechargeable.

not to be a downer you might have to take it to be repaired if you've had it a while the lithium- ion battery may have run out if it's not a built in rechargeable battery just change the battery.

you switch it to hold and then back and then hold the center button and menu button for about 6 seconds unit you see the apple
