I am currently preparing to re-enroll in college....I am almost through with my freshman year...but I have people at my job that work at the same level as me thave already have a degree--all the way up to master's. If they have a master's and have the same job as someone with only some college....does a degree really make a difference in the work force world? thanks

Absolutely, no question about it. It used to be that people started low in companies with no degrees and worked their way up, now to ever be competitive, you need the degree. If it came down to two people with the same experience, etc. and one had a degree and one didn't, the one with the degree would get the job.

A college education opens many doors that would be
entirely shut to you otherwise. Once inside it is the
quality of your work ethic and not your degree that keeps
them that way. If these people are working at your level
now, be prepared to have them as your employees later.

the more manual labor jobs that are pushed overseas the more an education will be weighed. If nothing else it will be a sorting tool to pre qualify candidates.
