I've met many people online and they are usually just as I thought. I'm picky though and won't meet someone online unless I think they are being real. I met my husband online 8 years ago. He's the love of my life.

I have a few friends that I have met online and so far they acted the same in real life as they did online.

I'm very cautious about meeting people in person
that I've met online. I usually chat with them forever,
to the point of knowing them pretty well, before actually meeting. I do have one exception. I met a guy online, that was in my town for that night only. I met him, and he was better than I expected...lol. We are still friends, too.

I have met several people IRL after getting to know them online and each was different to some extent than what I expected... I am sure that I was also... one of them told me I had much larger...ah...hands than she imagined would be the case...

yeah... this one guy named PJ... he told me how he was all into working out and everything and that he had a nice body ... he comes walkin into my work one day and I swear this foo had to have been like 400 lbs or more, and it wasn't muscle yanno what I mean...

yes, it sucks. it really hurt when i found out who and what she was all about. the worst part is you never know untill you meet them, its kinda scarry
