neither nor, it's decent.

addendum
nope, it's just a fact. a year ago the Athlon 64 3700+ was a good processor, but in the meantime technology made a leap. i'm thinking of all the dual core processors, especially the Intel Core 2 Duo's that catapulted PCs and Notebooks into a new dimension.

for gaming on the other hand it's not a must to have a dual core processor because the vast majority of all games can't take the benefit due to the fact they are not capable using both cores at the same time.

Im afraid its in simple terms no longer as much as right this moment's extreme video games. a million GB of ram will justcontinual the OS and anyone "on board" pics no longer good sufficient for greater contemporary video games. confident 5 years you will possibly have paid ideal greenback however the tech. moved on in 5 years! Sorry... you could seem at an editorial in MaximumPC August project, web site 24-33 to construct a $667 pc that would desire to actual positioned you nicely right into a physically powerful interest device variety, and of course, something you will desire to bump into!

It works great for me. I actually have an AMD athlon 64 3200+, and I play anything from Counterstrike to WOW and Guidwars, and I never have any problem with the game (I've used a .5GB connection, and I still don't lag in WOW!)

It's decent but not great since it's single core. It will last you for another year or two because most games aren't multithreaded yet. In the future, they will be and you'll need a dual or multicore system.
