I've noticed that my child (who is always on the honor roll) doesn't seem to care if her friends are trying hard and doing well academically. Does it matter to most middle school kids whether or not their friends are doing well in classes? Can you be popular and be failing your classes? Are good grades just for geeks? How important are your grades? How important is it if your friends are making good grades? I would love your thoughts!!

in my school it doesn't really matter what grades you get, getting straight A's doesn't make you geeky or popular, being popular is mostly about your personality, and the people you know

Being popular is mainy about who you hang out with, and are you shy, you have to be outgoing. My friend is the smartest girl in school and is very popular..
omg grades are so important. Without them you would get a crapy job.
YOu can be popular and fail you grade You can also be smart and popular.
If you friends are making good grades then there most likey not to do stupid things when there older.
