an independent variable is the one that isnt changed, like the one you keep constant usually its time........... dependent is the one ur testing like me i was testing amount of cotwo produced in how much time. its not constant so its dependent of time......... variables are held constant to reasure its a fair test............. dont get the next few....

an independent variable is the variable that depends on the other variable.
other way with the dependent variable.
