whats happened to society?

The world is full of too much hate, Its awful the fact its got like this, and unfortunetly it seems its only going to get worse. How can it posibly get better as it wasnt like this 20 years ago, people had respect for each other, spoke proper english instead of all this strange slang being used these days, people had manners and knew how to say please and thankyou, you could go out for a drink and not worry about some idiot wanting a fight, you could send children to school without them coming home and finding them hanging in there bedroom because the kids at school wer complete jerks to them. It just makes me so mad that today everyone hates everyone!

What are your views, do you think its got worse and do you think it will get better or so much worse

I think were all just becoming more selfish, thats the point, too selfish with our time to teach our kids manners, how to go through life without being a jerk, its soooo much easier to flip on the tv, copmuter, play station, gameboy, ipod, and isolate yourself from responsabilities and that in turn leaves all those instruments to teach kids how they should act towards life, you like a guy`s car --- kill him (gta san andreas) , you like a boy , get laid with him (any pop song nowadays) you are angry at society shot em up they wont talk back, the ones who bully don`t get bullied so bully first ad the list goes on and on, meanwhile parents are watching the lattest pay per view, or monday night football, or desperate housewives/lost/prisonbreak/anyother series i think that may be a BIG part of the problem... then again thats my view

Nothing has changed at all, except for the flow of information. People have always been full fo hate. Remember, watching public execution was and is public entertainment. Sure people seemed to have more manners, but behind the scenes wives were still getting beaten, children were being abused and we just did not here about it.

I find that people still do say please and thank you and hold doors for eachother.

Society has gone all to sh*t!.. When I hold the door open and say Hi to people at my own apartment building I get nothing... and when I see that person later in the day or week,... the door gets shut on me. Society has just become impatient, immature and ignorant as a whole. I think we'll all get much worse as things like world security issues, marketing and globalization etc etc etc gets shoved in our faces.

people are monsters that's why i don't want to have a child, or maybe i'll adopt one, bur it is hard to raise a child in this awfull world where everyone is a potential criminal.
if i was rich i would have my own country (or just an island), far from all these selfish and dangerous people.

I wish things could go back 50 years. i think even 20 years ago things were getting bad but it just wasn't so well publicised as it is now adays

I think the world is getting better everyday, we've managed to almost completely stamp out things like racism, homophobia, and are working on issues such as world hunger and global warming. Damage to the ozone layer has gone down significantly over the years ( many may disagree, look it up!)
