What's going on in Australia with the whole muslim and aussies?

I heard something about riots between aussies and muslims. Just wondering, what's going on? The cause?

I was just watching court tv and saw that an american got beat up in Australia cause he looked like a muslim? The poor guy almost died...

Also, does the aussies have problems with indians, hispanics, or any other race? I'll be Australia for work and I'm an Indian female. A lot of people mistake me with muslim.

Anything I should be careful about? What part of Australia is mainly full of trouble with aussies and muslims? It would be fantastic if you tell me more about this.

We Aussies TRY to be tolerant, but there are limits. Certain muslim clerics have been stirring up trouble within the Muslim community. Namely, Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilali .

A girl in Sydney was pack-raped by Muslim boys. The cleric condoned their behaviour, comparing the victim to meat left out for stray dogs.

We have plenty of indians, hispanics, etc. Unless you start shouting about Muslims "having more right to Australia" than those currently living here, you should be ok. CHECK the last link for a story of Muslim surf lifesavers
