The Commonwealth Games was held last year in March. If you are thinking of the FINA (Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming) Championships they will be held in Melbourne March 17 - April 1

The incoming international sport event in Melbourne in 2007 will be FINA championship (swimming) and Formula 1 Grand Prix.

No... u missed it.
But, this year the FINA World Championship (Swim.) is held in Melbourne, and also the Formola 1 Grand-Prix.
