Dishes are a tedious chore and now people like to throw away things left and right (afterall who needs the environment intact right???) It's easier and we like easy...Well actually I use real dishes...

Honestly, I admit we eat off of paper plates more often than we should. Usually it is because the paper plates don't have to be washed! My husband and I are extremely busy and we've been cutting corners on chores.
Personally, my time is limited. All the time I have is better spent on taking care in preparing a good meal rather than spending time on cleanup.
I don't think the pleasure of eating off of nice dishes really adds much to the meal. After all, I'm not eating the plate! Of course we always use our real plates for messy/soggy dishes.

I have known a couple of men who do that...for the same reasons as above...too much effort to wash dishes...I use paper plates at times and regular plates at times, but I have a dishwasher too, so it is not so hard to wash the regular plates.
Of course, the ideal thing would be a plate you could eat...ideally it would add a little extra fiber to the system :)

I am not lazy but paper plates just add 10 minutes or more to my
day. I rally like toa have a uncluttered sink, and i feel this is my luxury. Real plates are pleasant and my husband appreciates any attempt to do normal things. Do they both work? If one of them
stays home then I would wonder but working couple s have to make compromises sometimes.

Actually they must have the money to eat off of paper plates for those things cost money. Using your OWN plates cost you nothing except for a little water and soap.
A very unwise financial decision this couple made but perhaps it is because they are just ill educated.
I know a few people who live this way. I have to laugh whenever they bltch about money !!

My wife and I eat off of paper plates most of the time too. So I don't have so many dishes to do. She very rarely does dishes,or any housework. she just keeps me happy in the bedroom.

It is kind of weird. But, maybe they just don't like doing the dishes and throwing out a paper plate is simpler. Wasteful, but quicker clean up.

Yes, my wife and I have been using them everyday. We have a new baby and it is just too much work to wash all of those dirty dishes. The baby and work just take it out of us. So we have been using paper plates and paper cups. Before you get all environmental on me, remember that it is a trade off. Paper for water. Water is the ultimate limited planetary resource.

i think such behaviour is more common among college students or some eccentrics who are more dedicated to their jobs/ research/education than to living a normal life. as long as their happy and it certainly doesn't harm anyone then no one should mind. i wouldn't do it unless i'm on a trip, i'd rather wash dishes than eat out of a paper plate.
