The Scottsdale was the bottom of the line work truck. The silverado had nicer options.

The Chevy Silverado does indeed seem to have many more options than other models; however, I don't believe that every year model had these two packages as options. What I mean is that you have to know which years to compare the models available.

I have a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super. It had many options and actually had a 402 vs. the standard 350 that most Cheyennes had. So the point of the other writer saying Cheyennes (were/thought to be) V-6s isn't necessarily correct.

The silverado is the higher end truck the Scottsdale , and Cheyenne are lower class trucks with less options and may only have a v6 engine

In the early 90's they used a W/T for the lowest (Work Truck) Cheyenne for mid-models and Silverado for highest luxury
