You should have your spring bulbs in the ground now, like tulips Daffi. hycinths, if not put them in the fridge, if not already sprouted, for one week, so they won't sprout as soon as you plant them. I wouldn't plant any annuals now, it's too early wait till after danger of frost, but you can plant perrinals earlier than annuals, because if frost gets them, it will just burn the foilage, and they will still live, but it's too early for them also. You can plant your regular summer bulbs after danger of frost too.

plant your bulbs in early winter, they thrive on cold [in some climates like here in Australia] bulbs are put into the fridge prior to planting. Annuals should be planted in early Autumn
