First:Go to your iTunes Library.
Second:Buy songs for $1.00 each at the iTunes Store or you can use Limewire.
Third:Transfer your songs into your iTunes Library.
Fourth:Connect your iPod Shuffle to your computer.
Fifth:RIGHT click on the song you want to sync into your iPod and then click "Transfer to iPod" or something like that.
Sixth:Wait a moment.
Seventh:Unplug your iPod and see if you can listen to the song you synced.

This should work because I have an iPod Shuffle too.

If you have the music on your computer already, you should be able to open iTunes and just drag and drop the music files. If not you can tell iTunes to automatically add all the music on your computer, though I do not recommend that.
