Usually when this happens to me, my jaw is clenched while I am asleep. Some people wear mouthguards to bed to prevent damange that nighttime teeth grinding can cause.
For me, usually it is a sign of stress in my daily life. It doesn't have to have any specific meaning.

When I wore braces, years ago, I used to have those dreams all the time. I think that I was just afraid of something going wrong with my teeth. I always had to be so careful of what I did and what I ate. For me, my dreams were anxiety-related.

If you look at any dream book, dreaming of falling teeth usually means that someone close to you will die. That is what the books say.... but I don't really believe that. Look it up, I'm not lying.

It sounds like you are struggling with a problem that you can't find the answer to. We are "chewing things over" trying to come up with a decision or solution. Your teeth falling out could mean that you are obsessing with the problem, and that a solution will present itself that will make it unnecessary for you to decide.

Dreams don't mean any more than what you ascribe to them. So in one sense they probably really mean nothing, nothing, nothing at all. Dreaming is the result of a brain chemical catecholamines. Think about it this way. Dreams occur in REM sleep when catecholamines levels are highest. Infants have the highest levels of catecholamines and exhibit high levels of REM. If dreams actually mean anything, what are infants dreaming about and what do those dreams mean?
