a western new age practitioner will say "there is no such thing as 'Black magic' magic is magic & whether it is 'good' or 'bad' is based on the intent of the practitioner" however in some cultures beyond the western new age or occultic practices, "black magic" is practicing with "both hands." This is in the case of many syncretic practices such as Voudun, Santaria, Yoruban, Candoble etc. Where you publicly become the horse of a "right hand LOA or Orisha" but privately seek to become the horse of a "left hand LOA or Orisha". Many who attempt this are not able to maintain controll, and are at the beckon call of the the "left hand orisha or LOA" instead of it being the other way around. That is what is means to practice "black magic" or to practice with "both hands" It is not necessarily evil...but I would say that to not have controll over when I would be trance possessed or ridden would be a very bad thing....

The ONLY change is within the standpoint of the man or woman describing it. Magic is magic. It all comes from the equal supply. The equal forces which are used to bless can be utilized to curse. I believe probably the most simplistic definition could be that all of it comes all the way down to motive, however even that's no longer even virtually being correct. People spend a ways an excessive amount of time niggling over black and white magic and no longer adequate truthfully doing whatever. A colleague of mine as soon as stated, "The change among black and whit magic is that black magic is some thing that truthfully achieves a outcome, white magic is the whole thing else." I like that description. Magic is. Use it. There is not any black or white, the ones are aritficial differences created by way of individuals that experience a have got to believe morally awesome to others.

What Is Black Magic

Black magic is supposed to be the concept of using magic to do bad things.
There is no such thing as black magic, though. This is because 'bad' is something that we define for ourselves. Most people will not go out of their way to do bad for the sake of doing something bad. They will do bad things because they have been wronged, but this isn't black magic, this is self defense.
I would say that black magic COULD exist, it being the energy that causes us to do things for selfish, rather than selfless, reasons. So it COULD exist, but I don't think that it does.

Satanists don't even practice black magic because satanism is a philosophy, not a religion.

If this was a little to vague, or you have any other Q's, IM me.

Black magic is magic used in Cursing, Crossing, Hexing, etc. an enemy because of a wrong they have done on you. Say a boss screwed you over on...a report, perhaps. well, this was REAL important, and makes you lose out on a good raise this year. Time to Curse the sucker! It's more common down south, but in most of the US Wiccans and Pagans use Bindings and reversals for this kinda thing, as an aside.

Black magic is an artificial term created to identify magic used for destructive purposes. Magic is neither black or white, it simply is. The terminology only exists to make some practitioners feel superior to others by denegrating the way in which they use their skills. The way that the results are arrived at are no differnt in either so-called white or black magic. The ONLY difference is in the intencded result.

There's no such thing as "Black Magic".

Magical energy is neither good nor evil - it simply is, like electricity. It's what the user does with it that makes it harmful or helpful.

Like electricity can be used to heat a home to keep children from getting sick, or it can be used to fry someone's brain out into nonexistance in a prison chair. What you do with the energy is what counts, not the energy itself.

Black magic is the opposite of white magic. Black magic is bad. White is good.

Black Magic, is natural magic's negative or dark side.
As apposed to White Magic or natural magic, which enforces and uses only positive energies and natural aspects to the laws of nature.
This form of traditional magic is used for healing and bringing forth good.It is never used for control or self gain.
It is also necessary for maintaining the balance in all things.
So avoiding chaos.
Chaos,by attempting to tilt the balance of nature towards its unnatural way. This is the ill intent and purpose of Black Magic.
It attempts to pervert good to evil and light to darkness, balance to chaos.
It is based on believing in superiority of the power of one over the forces of nature. Also the ability to control and use weaker or more primal forces.
With the intent of controlling or altering elemental powers.
As it is attempts to project its self beyond and against the natural laws of nature, it becomes increasingly quite random,so very difficult to enforce and control by its adepts.
Some have likened it to a naughty child in a tantrum.
Always wanting more and uncontrollable. Not understanding the boundaries.
This is where its danger lies, rather than in its power.
Balance will always negate chaos.
