Well, in my youth, "do it" didn't refer to Nikes, but the sexual act.
Of course, "holy" people "do it." How else would they produce children? The tone of your question, if I'm interpreting it correctly, seems to be that "holy" people don't engage in sex, and nothing could be further from the truth.
"Holy" means set apart. So, those who have certain religious beliefs are "set apart" from those who don't share these beliefs.
A long, long time ago, there were people who somehow got the notion that sex, even between husband and wife, was sinful. This misapprehension continued for centuries, but that's not the case.
The book of the Bible that's called "The Song of Solomon" (also known as "The Song of Songs" or "The Canticle of Canticles") is a celebration of married love, and some of the finest erotic poetry ever written. I don't think that God is a prude if He included this in His revelation; what's more, in the book of Genesis he blessed all of His creation and told them to be fruitful and multiply--and this included humankind no less than the animals, fish, and birds.
The problem arises when we, as people, forget that God put a fence around sex that's called marriage. He didn't do this because He doesn't want us to be happy, He did it so we could know the highest happiness a man and woman can together experience. In its exclusivity lies its beauty--and if the couple both come to one another with no prior experience, there's no chance for past indiscretions to come back to haunt either one, and minimal likelihood of one giving the other an STD. Needless to say, this also requires faithfulness on the part of both the husband and the wife.
It's an ideal to strive for, certainly, and one that is attainable, even though difficult.
