I ask because the simpson's seem to be geting less funny and no one seems to age I mean how long is Maggie going to stay a baby.

They are both hilarious, but I see what you mean I think its probably where simpsons has been around alot longer. Its still funny but now it doesn't make you laugh as much during each episode!

I'll admit that the SImpson lacks a little of the luster it had a few years ago, but it's still watchable. The Simpsons is a classic and will always be so. American Dad may seem funny now (to be honest it reminds me way too much of Family Guy), but who will remember AD it in ten years or so? Only it's die-hard fans.

It's true that the Simpsons are losing their magic as of lately. But no matter what, it's still a classic in most people's hearts. The fact that no one ages and that you really don't know where their location is gives a show a little more flexibility in terms of plots. It is a cartoon after all, so not everything has to make sense.

the Simpson's Hands Down... i cant believe you have a problem with them never aging but not a problem with them never changing clothes.....

The problem The Simpson's has is it is loosely aimed at children with plenty of adult jokes, and as it has had so many episodes they must be struggling for new ideas by now.
Family Guy, to me anyway, seems to be more aimed at adults and isn't afraid to be un-PC, which these days is a good thing.

Yes, the genius moments that used to come out of the Simpsons are getting more and more infrequent. I really like Family Guy at the moment.

American Dad is a great show, don't get me wrong.
But American Dad isn't on the same level as the tissue the simpson's use to wipe their @ss. c'mon, its not even fair to compare a show that's been out for 12 years or so to a show that has 25 total episodes.
