highschool friend is in cali right now and she's been living there for more than a year too...she's in long beach! or,it might be you? lol too bad im here in florida..she's so friendly and fun to be with... you should meet her!

There are lots of Filipino in California. I had been in San Francisco, San Diego, LA, Orange County and there are many Filipinos there.
The biggest Filipino stores are in San Diego. They have the Seafood City. If you arent within that area, go to Filipino foodchains and restaurants. There are Jollibee in most places where Filipinos are. There is Red Ribbon and Chowking in San Diego. There is Goldilocks in the Contra Costa County. There is also Red Ribbon and Jollibee in Daly City.
If you are in the LA area, there is Jollibee out there also. It is the Philippines counterpart of McDonalds. Panorama City has also lots of Pinoy.
Filipinos are hospitable and friendly but they have also a negative attitude. Crab mentality! They dont want other people who are richer than themselves. They always criticize each other. I had seen much of that in San Diego. I hate it. It is better to stay away from them. Most of these housewives of US Navy stationed in San Diego. I had experienced it myself so I advise you to not be too friendly with them. Most of them have terrific quarrels even with their parents and siblings. Worst of it, those not educated are the most boastful. I had seen also families in San Francisco fighting. Terrible. You might regret it later. The worst trait of the Filipinos is also gossipping.
I am a Filipino American . I had the greatest lessons of my life. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
When I was in the Philippines, I thought Filipinos are just exagerrated about these. I had friends who transferred from LA to Colorado because of crab mentality. I had met Filipinos who transferred from LA to other places because of this crab mentality trait. When I was there, I realized it is true.
It is better to be meeting alot of other people from other nations. Filipinos are not that special.

California is a big state. what city are u in..u got to get out of the house.half of my cousin lives in Cali. just go to any mall u can hear them talking and u found a pinoy.

daly city seems to be the philippine town of CA... there's filipino everywhere... there's even philippino stores like jollibee and goldilocks! filipinos even celebrates holidays the way they do in the home town
