I don't think so. In the sixties, when space was first being explored, all the countries signed an agreement that space was not owned by any country and could not be claimed. That's why the Moon isn't called like "USA 2.0" or something like that. So at least with the way things stand now, I would have to say no way. Plus, i would fight tooth and nail to be sure it didn't.. We've already messed up our own planet enough.

Do you know how large a billboard would have to be in order to be seen from Earth? Or how much such a thing will cost?
The answer is simply "maybe", for it will truly depend on people's ability to venture in to space to see a reasonably sized object

It's a good thing nike is a very rich company, or advertising in space would be beyond their reach.

first, it would have to be a very large billboard to be seen from earth
and, secondly, there isn't any dirt in space to put the signposts in that would hold the billboard up
it's sort of like my yard
i was amazed to see how many holes i would have in it if it weren't for all the dirt

Imagine the size needed - the moon's diameter for example. Maybe if there were lots of explosions accurately created, to make words or graphics. Horrible thought.
