This approach isn't particularly reliable.
People who are somewhat shy, introverted, or just not in the habit of making direct eye contact will have a very difficult time and will be visibly uncomfortable making direct eye contact when talking about something as emotionally-charged as this.
Contrary to what's in a lot of pop psychology, an inability to maintain direct eye contact is not necessarily an indication that someone is lying. It may just mean that they are uncomfortable with the situation they've suddenly been placed into by being put on the spot... or any number of other reasons.
The best way to find out if someone still loves you is to see how they treat you and to talk with them about it in an open, caring, and non-confrontational way.

That depends on many factors, but must important is his or her personality, there's people who cant lie about anything, but theres also people that can do it perfectly... At the end you wll believe whatever you want to believe!
