I need to know if I could make any money. Does the player matter? The team? Does it matter how old the football card is?

It would depend on if the error was corrected, and how many were issued with the error.

The player or team probably would not matter.

I have an old Billy Ripken baseball card where he is standing there posing, holding a bat. On the knob of the bat, it says f*** face. There are a couple other versions of the card after that, one other I remember where they blacked out what it said on the bat

it matters how old it is
how big of a mistake it is
how many of the cards with the mistake are out there
did the card company know it was a mistake

ther'es one with a player that flicked people off in the card, that card is worth tons now because there were barely any in circulation before they got rid of it.

it all depends on who it is, what the error is, how noticable the error is, and what product the is
