Hi ..
I'm doing a colonoscopy at 10 am tomorrow.. I had breakfast right before the 24 hour cut off this morning.. i took the correctol.. and now i've drank about 25% of the liquid prep as directed and haven't been able to have any bowel movements yet.. Anyone out there who's had a colonoscopy that can say if this is normal or not?

Im drinking 8 ounces every 10-15 minutes as it says.. I'm drinking it fast.. Still nothing

You must drink the entire bottle to start bowel movements. It is possible that some people don't react to the mixture. It is very important to clean up your intestine to pass this exam. You may check with your drugstore to have more information. Good luck!!

Depends on the person. When my IBS was diarrhea, I would have gone by that amount. Now that it's constipation, it takes longer for it to start. If you drink all of it, and you still haven't gone, I will call the doctor before you go down there, but I bet once all of the liquid is gone and you've taken the other stuff, you'll be all cleaned out and ready to go. At least this is the hard part of the test. Good luck!

I did the same prep. I was in and out of the bathroom too many times to count. After a while, it was just clear coming out. That's when you know you're cleaned out. I had to finish with a bottle of magnesium citrate four hours before the exam. I found the prep to be worse than the colonscopy itself. It didn't taste bad, but the volume I had to drink was insane.

Keep drinking it and drink it all. Don't sit there and drink it over 2 or 3 hours. As awful as it tastes drink it all as soon as you can. Then don't leave the house and stay close to the BR. You have to do this or you don't get a good "clean out" and if you aren't clean they can't see what they need and you have just wasted alot of money. ALOT. and then you may have to go thru this again. Trust me, I'm a RN.

I have a bottle of Miralax 30onces a much I have to Gatorade to mixed

If nothing comes you could always go to the drug store and buy a bottle of "Fleet" enigma, or another bottle of x-prep (its probably behind the counter). But I have a feeling your first bottle will kick it soon, LOL.
