I live in Columbus and Ohio State is a good school. Many people think of it as a sports school (which it may be), but its standards have raised dramatically. To get on the main campus you have to have at least a 3.5, if not you get shipped to some crappy branch. I have heard that they have a really good computer science program, which continues to develop every year. They were one of the leading universities in computer science degrees. Other than that, I don't know much. But I do know the main campus kicks some serious @ss. Its a really cool (and big) campus.

Purdue is the highest rated as a sci-tech oriented school. Any of these would be good for the undergratuate, however. I'd put RIT and SUNY-Buffalo as #2,3.
