Well, if you are playing at home with family and friends and just using chips and not real money then it is not illegal. BUT, if you are playing online, even with fake money it is illegal, because to even be on that site you have to abide by their rules and say that you are 18 and an adult. So, if you are online, do not play. You can not go into a bar or card hall and play, you are not old enough, not even at 15. You must wait until you are 18 to play for real money in a casino and 21 in a bar. And only if it is legal in your state to play with real money.

Gambling is illegal under 18 in most parts, true, BUT you are not gambling. You are not risking anything, and you are not rewarded anything. Play chips are play chips, and don't get you anything regardless of amount, thus, not gambling by definition, dictionary or legal definition.

The site may have a policy that doesn't allow minors, and if it's the case, you're simply in violation of the site's policy. Online gambling is illegal in most states at all, but play chips are legal, and why? Because it isn't gambling.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, it's the same as playing any other game that you are not risking money or being rewarded money, plain and simple.

To play online it does say you have to be 18 or older but am pretty sure there are many people that is not the legal age playing. So if you like they do have poker on yahoo games where you can play or rent the game from a local video store and play poker on your Ps2 or whatever console you have.

Gambling is illegal at your age. Playing the card game poker with chips or fake money is no different than playing Monopoly or Risk or Black Jack.

If you aren't playing for real money it is legal. It is the same as playing any other game. If the fake money can be cashed in though it is real money just the same.
