Well, there has never been footage taken of me cutting my toenails (that clip was a hoax!) but several othe movies have marked my mind...
The Thing From Another World - I saw this when I was too young and even today I remember thinking to the guy who puts the electric blanket over the alien lifeform cast into the iceblock "NO, YOU FOOL! ITS PLUGGED IN!"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044121/ - The Thing from Another World
The Haunting - I saw the new version and thought it was really well made
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0171363/
Rose Red - Long but really good.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0259153/
Event Horizon - Sci-fi but creepy.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119081/
Little Shop of Horrors - The musical comedy. Not horrific by today's standards, but we're so blasé nowadays.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091419/
So many more. I saw the new "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and walked out alive. My friends went to see "Saw 3" and said they had never ever ever seen something so gory in their lives. To this day I have not seen an entire Nightmare on Elmstreet movie. Just hasn't happened. Must rent them :D

Murnau's "Nosferatu", from 1922, has seldom been equalled for shear creepiness on the part of the star; Schreck's Orloff/Dracula is brilliant and terrifying, still.
The original "The Haunting", with Julie Harris is both truly scary and mesmerizing.

It's Hitchcock's "Psycho". I challenge all of you who have never seen it to sit in a dark room and watch it and then tell me I'm wrong. I will say, though, that if "Psycho" is a 10, "The Exorcist" is a 9.9.
