I don't think abortion is murder either. Abortion is only a medical procedure. A fetus is not a baby until it is alive and breathing just like you and i.

My life
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours
People can't seen to get that through their heads.

I am very passionate about this subject I am pro-life! Please do not mistake my passion below as being rude, I just feel very strongly about this after watching a few friends struggle through their abortions and the long-term mental & physical side effects that come with it. Check out this site: (No gruesome pictures, just some reading!) http://www.afterabortion.org/physica.html

Is it probably fair to say that 99% of abortions are had by women who accidentally became pregnant out of wedlock or were raped? So that leads me to all of this below.

The reason it is seen as murder is that:
There may be technical terms for when a sperm & an egg join and the different stages that those cells go through, but so long as the sperm is from a male human & the egg is from a female human, is there any doubt what the result would be if given enough time? No, it would be a baby human.

How can you say that once the egg & sperm have joined that it is not a human being? It may not look quite humanoid but the DNA that will tell it to eventually look like a human is all already there, it just needs time. So to me an abortion for those who agree with it, it is on the terms of a "Beat the Clock" type game! For example, when people agree that before 6 or 8 weeks it’s okay but after that’s a big No-No! Did it suddenly become something else? (No) So what is classified as life or living in that case? Well the egg & sperm before conception were both living organisms, right? So just because the fetus’ heart has not formed or started beating that means it is not worthy to live?

Other Options:
It seems that there are far better options, than having a fetus dissected & surgically removed from your body. I am sorry but in my opinion adoption just seems like a much better option. Even in the case of rape! I am not saying that I would like to carry around a rapist’s child for 9 months, but at least I know that if I did, I might bring a smile & a beautiful baby to the arms of a very deserving couple that without me would not have had children.

The real problem is:
It all really boils down to being responsible. Every time you have sex no matter how careful you think you are there is ALWAYS a possibility of pregnancy or contracting an STD! If everyone played by the Book, and waited to have sex until they were in a loving committed relationship, this would not be a major issue. Do you ever see a married couple that would give up a product of their love (& a blessing from God)?

The sad reality is everyone wants to do what he or she wants to do & they don’t care about anyone or anything else that is telling them otherwise. They don’t think the possible consequences will affect them! They think the real problem is the baby, the unwanted pregnancy, not what got them in that situation in the first place! What if rapists were treated the same way? They could get off the hook for their mistakes, just like those who have abortions and use them to get out of handling their responsibilities? The world is already becoming a dismal place to live, if some of us don’t have to handle our responsibilities why do any of us?

i believe killing a unborn child is murder. The child does not deserve to die just because the mother is not ready for a kid. There are other options i.e adoption. There are alot of parents who would love to have a kid and would care for it just as their own. Also most people who are pro-choice (not saying everyone) say what if the mother was raped? 90% of mothers who were raped and got pregnant decided to go through with the pregnancy. Also what if you have a std like aids and would give it to you're child? Wouldnt it be better for the child to live a small life than none at all? I know most adults and/or kids who have an std, cancer or some other illness cherish each day and would not like to have their life taken away because of it. Another question is what about teen pregnancy? If the teen can become pregnant she should take responsiblity for her actions. No one should just kill a life because they are not ready. Statistics say 1/4 of the american population has been aborted. What if one of those kids would find out the cure for cancer, save a life, or better yet make a difference on ones life. You would ruin that. I being pregnant at only 14 was forced to re-think my decision. I always believed i was against abortion until i got pregnant. It was a very hard decision for me to make to keep my child now i'm 10 weeks pregnant and still having to consider my morals. Its an opinion; i think its murder but i also understand the women and teens who do it and thats their decision. I believe one has to have been in the situation before they can honestly say they are 100% against abortion though. Because until it happens to you and you are forced to make a decision you cant know for sure exactly what you're answer would be.

I feel it is murder for the fact. If a man were to kill his wife and unborn baby he would be charged with two counts murder. But if she decides to abort it then oh well. People argue it is not yet a human or not yet living. Well if it is not living why does an unborn baby have a heart beat? Why can you feel it moving inside of you? Why can you see it on a 3d/4d ultrasound sucking its tumb and moving around, and being able to tell what parent it will look like? And then some people say that it can't feel pain. Well after watching the video a "a silent scream" which is on the internet. Which is an abortion taking place while being seen on ultrasound. Which shows the baby does feel pain. The people who chose to have an abortion were given the chane of life, but when given a life they can't give the same chance. It is just an easy way out to get yourself out of being accountable. You open your legs knowing there is a chance of getting pregnant, yet that did not stop you. So when you are given the gift of life you chose hey I am not ready, lets kill it. Well should you have thought of that before you opened your legs. Yes in some cases a woman is not fit to be a mother, but thats why they have adoption. Some woman can't get pregnant due to medical reason and they live to get pregnant. And they are in a state of depression because they know they would make a great mother. Yet you have the ungreatful who can't even give that woman a chance to be a mom instead just kill the innosent child.

Thats why it is murder.

I feel that a child is created as soon as the egg is fertilized and splits, because those cells have completely different DNA, and are therefore not part of the mother. People debate this because mitochondrion have seperate DNA, but I think there is a profound difference between what will become a human being in definition accepted by all, and what was originally part of a bacteria family.

I also have a personal dislike for abortion, since there was a good chance I was going to be aborted.

Also, the majority of abortions are done at or prior to 12 weeks. By 12 weeks there is a heart, a brain developing, hands that move, ears, circulatory and digestive systems beginning to work, fingers moving, mouth opening, etc.

To me, it is someone destroying a human life. So therefore it is murder.

The rape argument also bothers me. Say your father beat your mother horribly. Just awful abuse. And you take after your father remarkably, at least looks-wise, so every time your mother looks at you she is reminded of the abuse she went through at the hand of that man. She will be around you the rest of her life, because of course she isn't going to give up her child... it is not your fault your father was a dork. In the case of rape, the woman does not have to keep the child around, except for 9 months. 9 months she will have a direct reminder of the situation, and that is it. Adoption is always an answer. Plus, there will always be things that bring back the memories of rape, that is what makes it so incredibly awful.

Because after only a few weeks, it has a heart and a brain. Even single celled organisims are given the status of living thing so I think that we could give a fetus the same status. If we can call it a living being, whether it is human or not, what right do we have to take its life. I mean you can go to jail for killing a dog. Now of course there is the argument that it is your body and you should have a choice in what happens to it. I absolutely agree that you should have a choice about what happens to your body, but I think that choice happens when you have intercourse, you are taking the risk of becoming pregnant. This argument is not ment to apply to cases of rape, incest, or when the mother's life is in danger. These must be examined individually. My point is however, that as long as you are of sound enough mind to know what the risks are of having intercourse, then when you have sex, you make a choice, and it is cruel, and selfish, to kill something that is alive for your own convenience.

Tell me why it is ok to have an abortion? Why should it be ok, if in the outcome is you will have a living being a human being. If you do not like someone... would you kill them? No, because it is murder. So why would you want to murder a innocent child, and you can argue with me til you are blue in the face. That embryo, fetus, child whatever you want to call it .. IS a living being from the moment it was conceived. There is no excuse to have an abortion when adoption is an option. Do not get me wrong, I believe you should be able to get an abortion if you were raped or incest is involved.. but I believe that if has to be proven before the fact. It must be reported and so forth. Abortion is not birth control. If you are going to have sex.. PROTECT yourself every single time. There is no reason to play if you can not except the consequences.

I'm pro-choice as well, but I do understand where other opinions are coming from. By 4 weeks gestation... your baby is a baby... no longer an embryo. By 5 weeks your baby has a heartbeat... that is considered life to most people.
I think that abortion is a decision that should not be taken lightly, but in certain circumstances is the best option.

i cannot judge you for what you have done or will do-- that is not my job nor is it my place. i personally would never get an abortion because i feel that if God meant for you to have that baby there is a reason for that-- also, my mother gave me up for adoption and i feel that she could have just have easily (actually it would have been easier) to get an abortion.

i feel like a life is a life no matter when it starts-- when i heard my the heartbeat of my child for the first time that was the most amazing thing in the entire world--there is nothing even close to that.. i cant imagine destroying that life growing inside of me...but, that is just my opinion-- i just wish that some people would stop using it as a form of birth control--more than once and there is a problem-- i just think that every baby/life deserves a chance...
