Both are more similar than most people think. Last season Reye's numbers were slightly better in most areas. Both are slick fielding, speedy, shortstops who hit for moderate power and lead-off. Reye plays for a competitive team therefore he is much higher rated than Ramirez. I would go with Reyes. Both have their best years coming up here in teh next couple seasons. But right now reyes is more seasoned and ready than ramirez.

without question in my concepts Hanley Ramirez is the main suitable shortstop in baseball, with each and all the others being a protracted way in the back of him. The ESPN potential scores is an extremely good gadget for measuring the overall performance of a participant. In 2007 A-Rod replaced into #a million observed heavily via Hanley Ramirez at #2. Rollins replaced into #5, Reyes #9, Tulowitzki #37, Guillen #40 3, and Jeter #40 4. Hanley is the guy and he's merely going to get extra effective.

I feel like the sex educator in "The 40-year-old Virgin" when she says, "Is that a serious question?"

JOSE REYES!
Ramirez is a very talented youngster. But right now, Reyes without question is more seasoned, and at this stages of their careers: more talented. Now in 5 years you ask the same question, you might receive a different answer. But for now... no question about it: REYES!

That's very tough. They are two very two very young, dynamic shortstops. I'd have to say Reyes though. The guy is amazing, explosive bat, explosive wheels, and great range. Ramirez is pretty close, but he strikes out a a lot more than Reyes, and is not as consistent in the field yet. Still, I'd take either one.

Reyes...we know he can be consistent. Sure Ramirez has been a huge prospect for years, but I want to see him put up similar numbers a couple of years in a row before I completely buy into all the hype.

Reyes is a little more proven at this point so, I'd pick him. In a few years my decision may change for Hanley. I'm just glad Boston was dumb enough to trade him and Anibal Sanchez for Lowell and Beckett. This may be the next big trade to kill the Red Sox nations hope.

Jose Reyes. He's just better at everything. I like the red sox, and even when Hanley played for them, I didn't think he would amount to much.
