Tokyo is a much cleaner city when you think about it right. Singapore only has about 2 mill people and when you compare it with a city the size of Tokyo, you just have to be amazed.
Hong Kong isn't as clean as Singapore tho' and New York city is huge. There are portions of New York when its just the dumps.

Hong Kong and Tokyo are as clean as Singapore if you see on the street. New York not sure , has not been there yet.
Only thing that Hong Kong and Tokyo can beat Singapore is the air quality. Hong Kong air pollution is quite bad . Tokyo does have quite signifance bad air pollution. But not as bab as Hong Kong. Singapore air quality good. Probably because we are smaller in size and industrialization is much easier to control.

I'd been to Tokyo, New York and Singapore but not in Hong Kong. In those 3 places, there's no freedom in Singapore so the state can dictate everything including littering. Indeed Singapore is a FINE city.

Singapore is probably the cleanest city in the world, where else do you get the death penalty for littering (just kidding)? Hong Kong and Tokyo are very clean cities, but no big city I've ever seen is as clean as Singapore. New York's not too bad either, but not as clean as the other three.

Tokyo and Singapore are both very clean cities (but Tokyo is much more fun. Singapore is b-o-r-i-n-g!!) Hong Kong and New York can't compare to Tokyo and Singapore in terms of cleaniness. Both cities need to work harder on that.

As far as I'm concern and have seen, Singapore is the cleanliest country and have been well known for its clean & green environment but Tokyo is particularly clean as well. Japan has strict hygiene regulations too.
But definitely not for Hong Kong & New York, you can roam around the streets and rubish & spits are everywhere. And worst still, grafittis are everywhere on streets and walls in New York.

Nope. Definitely not. Singapore is such a clean and green city New York can never compare to us. Speaking of which, anyone want to join our beach-cleaning project with the National Environment Agency at Sembawang Beach every Saturday 2-5pm from 24th Feb?

Tokyo is much cleaner than in Singapore. People there are civic minded. They don't smoke even in public in consideration of others. Pollution is minor there. One sign of dirty air is the gunk trapped in your nostrils. Very little of it to dig out from my nose. What a disappointment. Singapore is clean by virtue of its army of bangladeshi cleaners. Having a dustbin evey 20 metres gave one an impression of cleanliness too. But toilets here stinks. People leave their mess behind. Finding a dry toilet is difficult here. People here have filthy habits too. The ch* hawks and spits into the washbasins, the ma* like their floor wets, both m* and in* prefer water over toilet papers to do their private business. The government fines people who don't flush, gays who like to watch people urinates are probably hired to catch offenders.
