internet explorer problems?

my homepage is yahoo.com, but when I click the yahoo shortcut, internet explorer pops up first and I have to always close explorer. What can I do to fix this annoying problem?

can you elaborate more? Is internet explorer your default browser or are you using the browser that comes with SBC internet?
