Right i know many women on here will think i am out of my mind, but i think i fell pregnant a day before my period came.....

That will now be just over a week and a half, for 4 days now i have been having cramps in my lower tummy and alternates between the middle and left and right it feels like i am still on my period.which i am not.

I have been feeling really tired for the past 3 days actually make that exhausted, and i keep getting bouts of feeling really sick and generally dont feel myself.

I know that i do not have anything wrong with my overaies and that surrounding area as i had a ultrsound scan about 6 months ago with the all clear so nothing like that can be making these period like cramps.

What i wanted to know was has anybody had these kind of symptoms before they got a positive test??

I did take a test today and came back negative did anyone have that happen before a positive??

Sorry for all the questions.

I did

Actually it is possible to fall pregnant any time in a womens cycle, and some women even have a period like bleed before they find out they are pregnant.

Before i tested, I felt weird too. Not ill, just a bit different. I had a bit of lower back ache, my boobs were very tender, and I felt very calm and at peace, bit hard to describe really.

It can take a while for the pregnancy hormones to reach detectable levels, so its quite reasonable to do a couple of negative tests before getting a positive.

I got three negative tests before I got a positive, and I had nausea, moodiness, tiredness, breast swelling and soreness, a twinge in my lower abdomen one day for about 5 minutes, and a little lower back pain. You CAN get pregnant on your period, and you CAN have a period after you're pregnant. I got pregnant on the last day of my period, and then I had bleeding again about 2-3 weeks later...as heavy as a period, I thought maybe it was a miscarriage, but then I got a positive test! Some women don't get symptoms until after their missed period, others are very in tune with their body or have stronger hormones and notice something is amiss only a week after conception. You may not be having legitimate pregnany symptoms this early, but I did, so I of all people know it's possible. Just test again a few days before your next period is due, and good luck!

I did not have any symptoms only got them after I did the test. I was on the injection so really did not expect to be pregnant. I just felt pregnant and told my husband to go and get a test and it came out positive. Next day we went to the doctor and he did an ultrasound and I was 6 weeks pregnant. I was terrified because I wasn´t ready to be a mommy but now it´s the greatest feeling in the world to feel my little one moving inside me.....

Here is some symptoms to look out for :

Nausea & Vomiting
Nausea and vomiting may come as early as a week into the pregnancy. Many women experience illness in the morning (morning sickness), some in the afternoon or evening, others feel feel nausea throughout the entire day. There is no explanation as to why pregnant women feel this or even a solution as to how to prevent it - however, eating small frequent meals, and snacking on saltine crackers seems to give some kind of relief. Eating a protein/carboy hydrate at bedtime (try an apple and a glass of milk) tends to lessen the nausea that occurs in the morning.

Breast Tenderness
Breasts may be very tender, swollen and start to enlarge. Many times the veins within the breast will become more visible. Your nipples may start to darken in color, become more erect and be extremely sensitive. These symptoms are due to increasing amount of HCG hormone that begins at implantation.

Frequent Urination
Pregnancy causes the uterus to swell and it will start to enlarge for the growing fetus immediately. The uterus puts pressure on your bladder making you feel the need for more frequent urination. Many women start to feel this symptom within a week or two after pregnancy has occurred.

Feeling Tired / Sluggish
This one is pretty obvious. When pregnant your body is going through some major hormonal changes. HCG levels alone go from 0 - 250,000 mIU/ml in just twelve weeks. Your temperature is also higher due to the amount progesterone circulating through your body which will also make you feel a little sluggish.

Light Bleeding
Light bleeding (spotting) may occur approximately 8 - 10 days from ovulation. It usually happens around the same time you would have gotten your menstrual period. Some women assume they have started their period when in fact they are pregnant. The spotting is caused from implantation which is when the fertilized egg burrows into the endometrial lining.

Dizziness and/or Fainting
When standing in one place you may feel dizzy or even faint. The growing uterus compresses major arteries in your legs which causes your blood pressure to drop making you extremely light headed. Skipping meals or going too long without eating may cause you to feel dizzy or faint. When not eating frequently enough it causes low blood sugar. Blood sugar is the primary source of food for your baby so it will be depleted much more quickly.

Constipation
Pregnancy hormones will slow down bowel functions to give maximum absorption time of vitamins and nutrients. Unfortunately, this symptom usually only gets worse as the pregnancy progresses.

Irritability
Raging hormones are the cause of this...along with having to put up with all the other symptoms. This symptom should decrease soon into the second trimester but until then, a healthy diet, moderate exercise and plenty of sleep should help the crabbiness somewhat.

Heartburn
The uterus is very swollen and starts to push upward as it grows. The increasing levels of HCG will also slow down digestion making your stomach not empty as fast which increases the stomach acid.

Uncomfortable - But Well Worth It!
After your precious baby arrives, you will soon forget the bouts of nausea and the discomfort you are now experiencing.

Good luck !!!!!

My boob were soooooo sore, and I was cramping like I had my period, but I didn't have it, and I was tired all the time. When I took the test I found out I was already 8 wks along.

You can have a negative test result even though you are pregnant. Go get a blood test done at the doctors to be sure.
Good Luck!!

i had many symptoms before i found out i was pregnant, but you cant go off what anyone else feels.
if you've done a test and its negative, wait a few days then do another one, a negative result is less reliable than a positive.
if you are unsure then go get checked by your doctor.
If you are still having periods and are having these syptoms it may be something else, or if you've missed a period go get checked.
you may have been pregnant and had early miscarriage, you dont know until you see a doctor

Firstly, a man has no place answering this question lol, secondly, yes you can get symptoms before a positive test, usually sore boobs lol feeling sick/tired but cramps are not that symptomatic although they can happen, tiredness is common too. I twice had a negative test before getting a positive so you can get symptoms but still get a neg test. and you can still be pregnant and have periods, although its quite rare, my guess would be to say if youve had a period youre probably not pregnant but good luck anyway :)

Before it occured to me to take a pregnancy test, I experienced extreme tiredness and cramping for about a week. It was like PMS without the bloating. I took a test a few days before my period was due, and the test came up positive immediately - but that's not the case with everyone.

Best wishes.

What really triggered me to take a test was.. cramping unlike menstrual cramping.. it wasnt as painful nor in the same areas. fatigue and i was always carsick. I never got carsick before but once i was pregnant it hit me! other symptoms didnt start showing up until i got the positive i took my test a day before my missed period and it showed up right away +!

Wow, so many questions! Yes, you can get symptoms before you get a positive test. Yes, you can (and most likely will, depending on what time of the month you test) get a negative result before you get a positive one.

However, I really don't think you're pregnant. Firstly, you say you got pregnant the day before your period. This is most unlikely. Most women ovulate 14 days before they get their period. This holds true regardless of how long your cycle is. Sperm can live in the body for up to seven days, so theoretically you could get pregnant seven days before you got your period, but not the day before.

Also, it would be very unusual for you to have a normal period whilst pregnant. It's been known, but it's not common.

You can get symptoms before testing positive. I have had 3 children, and I had sore breasts, and sharp cramps in my lower abdomen. I was also very fatigued. If you have health insurance, go and get a blood pregnancy test done. They are the most accurate.
