The spyware keeps hi-jacking my homepage and re-direting me to their site. Is there a program that can stop this?

Both of these are free.
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

CounterSpy v.2 has just been released. This is arguably the most powerful anti-spyware program available. It runs rings around any freeware you care to mention as well as most paid programs. It costs very little ($19.95) but the best thing is that you can try it for free for 15 days. So, if you want or get rid of spyware, adware, malware, trojans and keyloggers, try CounterSpy, you won't be disappointed.

Honestly it depends on what works for you, everyone has their favorite so you are going to end up with a lot of different choices, I have come to like Kaspersky because it doesnt take up so much memory and spysweeper seems to get the job done especially with trojan horses. you might also want to use www.spywareguide.com (they have a free active X scanner). Click on tools and free scanner. Norton also has a free scanner so just when you think you are sure everything is okay, run the norton scan and it would tell you if you forgot something, even in the recycly bin.
