Encrypt your wireless traffic by Enabling WEP or WPA encryption on the router. If your wireless connection has a lock next to it then its secure but if its open then the neighbors might be happy because of free internet.

if you have your firewall on and viral programs installed, then you are good. it is alway possible for someone to pick up your wireless sigal and get on the net but this is very rare of them getting into your computer. however you can get into your router and change the name ans password so that nobody can get into it. look in your router manual and it will tell you what address to type into your browser to acess this.

make sure it has a 128bit wep code. and that its firewalled. check out the online configuration pages of your wireless router. if you need a user name and password, its useally something like admin and admin!

If you are scared of being hijacked, change your IP address from dynamic into static.
