Fox owns the rights to the 2nd Borat film but have yet to come to an agreement with Sacha Cohen. Universal owns the rights to another one of his character's, Bruno, the gay Austrian. That movie has started filming yet and is tenatively scheduled for a 2008 release.

I would be surprised. His next film is due to be as Bruno the gay Austrian fashion reporter. I was under the impression that Borat was being "retired" as he could no longer pull off the kind of things he used to as the character of Borat.

I think it's sad. borat was one of the funniest characters to come along in a long time. Even people who didn't know the character, loved it after they watched the movie. Too bad.
