about taking care of the enviroment..and it's after school.

1)Have you ever picked up highway trash? Cigarette butts are the majority (quantitatively) of the trash. Nothing stops people from stamping out their butts on the road or in the streets.
2)High winds can blow properly disposed of trash across the country side. This is trash that has been cleaned up. Now, it's all over again. From trash cans to dump-sites, you can't stop nature.
3) There aren't enough people that really care or are aware of the damage pollution does. For every one educated person, there are more people that don't know or simply don't care and will continue to dispose of batteries, oil, cleaners, and anti-freeze in unlawful and unhealthful ways.

That's not a reason. Choose something like pollution caused by automobiles or pollution caused by industrial wastes.
