I believe for superstars all to work together you need a coach that can bring superstars together.
I'd pick Pat Riley for that. He's the best at keeping Ego's in check next to Phil Jackson. I only don't pick Phil jackson is i dont think alot of superstars want to run the Triangle.
Starters:
PG: Jason Kidd . He can play defense, he doesn't need to shoot with the rest of the superstars on the team. You have to remember Steve Nash is who he is because of the suns system, he didn't play nearly as well in Dallas. JKidd is a great distributor/defender/ and rebounder
SG: Kobe Bryant. Best SG in the league. He can play offense and defense with the best of them. He also has that cut throat attitude that will get it done for you in the final seconds. Jkidd to Kobe alleyoop? YES PLEASE!
SF: Shawn Marion. You need a do everything player. Someone who can board, defend, hustle and will just put his body on the line for the team. He can shoot when he needs to and he can get to the line. His only problem is he can't create his own shot, but on an allstar team you can't have all 5 players looking for creating a shot, there's not enough of a ball to go around.
PF: Ah.. hard Choice. I'd have to say Tim Duncan. I like KG if i only could pick two superstars, but with 4 other guys KG's all around talents are wasted. TD will play amazing post defense, just lock guys down, and have enough post offense that it'll keep people away from the 3 point shooters! Tim duncan is so underrated this year its crazy.
Center: Dwight Howard/Yao Ming: If i wanted a team that just wants boards and quick speed i'd pick Howard cause he's so fast for someone so big. His only problem is the lack of post moves. yOU keep him out of the paint you keep him from scoring.
Yao ming on the other hand is an offensive force. You just can't stop him and he's not a liability in the final moments when you gotta have a point. He also plays amazing defense, just slower than dwight howard.
In the playoffs i'd much rather have yao ming, but him and duncan might take up too much space together.
And i'd have them play in a place with a dedicated fan base. LA sadly isn't that place. I have season tickets to the Lakers and the fans are not dedicated like other areas.
Give it to New Orleans! give them something to dream about again!!!

Coach: Phil Jackson: the only guy who could deal with so many stars and is the active championship leader unless you don't like winning
The City of stars has to be SHOWTIME in LA
The Starters:
Chris Paul
Ray Allen
Shawn Marion
Chris Bosh
Dwight Howard
Bench:
Okafor
McGrady
Josh Howard
Deron Williams
the team needs to still be able to get along and this team has defenders, scorers( both inside and out), distributers, and guys with little or no egos

If you're running a salary cap-less team with superstars, then here's the staring 5....
PG-Steve Nash
SG-Kobe Bryant (It pains me to say that)
SF-Tracy McGrady
PF-Kevin Garnett
C-Amare Stoudemire
With Mike D'Antoni coaching
I choose this line-up because it's a fluid, fast paced line-up and will definitely help put 120 points with the philosophy that Mike D'Antoni has. Though they are a mediocre defensive team, they do have KG down in the block and Kobe on the perimeter to help.
