Are you talking about people born in other countries, like immigrants? Or British ethnic minorities?

I reckon you see a lot of 'foreigners' because they're harder to trace than someone with a driver's licence, on the electoral roll, with a bank account, etc.

If you're talking about ethnic minorities having a higher likelihood of committing crimes, then that's a very complicated issue that can't be decided by watching Crimewatch. Serial killers and paedophiles tend to be white men. We could go on about cultural exclusion, lack of good educations, jobs or upbringings, the way the culture was 'back home', etc....

When you say 'foreigners', are you also including white Eastern Europeans? I stand by my first answer, that 'foreigners' are harder to trace. Someone who's been here for six months isn't going to be recognised by their ex-girlfriend from ten years ago. Someone who's never had a job or a bank account in their life won't have any kind of tax record or financial paper trail.

Perhaps they say the same about sex crimes in Vietnam and other far Eastern countries...where the majority of offenders are pot-bellied and middle/old-aged Brits. Crimewatch is a fine programme to highlight crime (and scare the sweet Tom Tit out of peoples of all colours in the UK), but they also realise to get people watching it, the choicest and 'sexiest' wrong-doings are picked from the bag.
See a gentleman called Mr. Adams, a well known criminal from a violent family in London has been put into custody...where the 'foreigners' will be scorned and sneered at, I suspect people not unlike Mr. Adams (and their professionalism) will end up in a 'Martina Cole' kind of book, which will be more stolen than bought from may a WHSmith!

Angry little F**ker...it's not as good as it used to be? You make it sound like a soap opera!
Nice one, Stephanie...of course it made sense also. You got a thumbs down!

Since Crimewatch started making its recreations more important than just reporting the crime, I tend not to watch it. Probably foreign actors come cheaper and they do seem to need a lot.
