am I losing my mucus plug?

The further along you get the more normal it is to have an increase in discharge.
The mucus plug is a nasty snotty looking thing. Sometimes tinged brown or red with blood, sometimes it might look stringy.
But you canusually tell the difference because this is just lookin
like a bunch of snot!
Some dont even loose it until they are in labor...
It doesn't mean birth is right around the corner, it just means that your body is getting ready.
And the mucus plug can even come out in peices...so be on the look out.

That means your mucus plug is beginning to release, then after this happens watch for blood if there is any blood go to the doctor or you can wait and see if contractions start to happen, but that is the starting signs of labor

no, some woman have very heavy discharge during pregnancy, it is very normal, don't worry, you will know when it is the plug, it will be bloody and sort of like snot

Call your doctor. If your doctor is gone for the day, then just call the hospital.
