my family will be going on vacation this summer. I live in Florida. I have been all over Florida vacationing before I had kids. I don't know where to go with a 5 year old and a three year old. I am also interested in other states too. Does anyone have any ideas at all where we can go with such small kids. I want them to have fun.

Shoplands.com has some interesting articles, and mentions some nice places around the country. When I've had the itch to hit the road to somewhere new, I've always read up on someplace that sounded good, and even if I decided I wouldn't go there, it put me in a direction closer to somewhere I would. At times, I think reading about vacations can be more fun than going on them, at least you can't get lost! LOL

We started going to Disney when my youngest was three. She loved it. Make your meal reservations in advance and ask to be booked into the restaurants that have the characters come out and pose for pictures. It will save you standing in line to meet one later.
Busch Gardens in Tampa has the Land of the Dragons, which is a little kids' amusement park inside the big amusement park. It is also the third largest zoo in the US. Tampa also has a Kids Park near the Lowry Park Zoo where they can shop in a kids size store, work in a kids size MacDonald's, bank, etc. They never get tired of that place.
In two years take them both to Williamsburg

The first time I wen to Disneyworld i was 4 and my sister was 5 and we loved it. If you want something completely different from Florida try Maine. I live in Maine and it is really pretty.

How about St Augustine...the Fountain of Youth?, Georgia's only 45 min. north with King Georges Fort...let the kids run and explore the wildlife and artillery sites.
